Mahe Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, observed by Muslims worldwide as a sacred period of fasting, prayer, and self-discipline. During this month, from dawn to sunset, Muslims abstain from food, drink, and other physical needs, focusing on spiritual growth and devotion. The fast, known as sawm, is one of the Five Pillars of Islam.
Ramadan is a time for increased worship, reciting the Quran, and performing Taraweeh prayers at night. It fosters self-reflection, patience, and gratitude. Acts of charity (sadaqah) and Zakat are encouraged to support those in need. The month concludes with Eid-ul-Fitr, a joyous festival celebrating the successful completion of fasting.
Beyond physical restraint, Mahe Ramadan is a journey of inner purification, strengthening faith, and deepening one’s connection with Allah.
