Mahe Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is a sacred time for Muslims worldwide. It is observed through fasting from dawn to sunset, refraining from food, drink, and other worldly distractions. This month holds immense spiritual significance as it commemorates the revelation of the Quran to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Fasting, or sawm, is one of the Five Pillars of Islam, promoting self-discipline, gratitude, and empathy for the less fortunate. Muslims engage in extra prayers, including Taraweeh, and increase their acts of charity. The last ten nights, especially Laylatul Qadr, are considered the most blessed.

As Ramadan concludes, Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr, a joyous festival of gratitude. Mahe Ramadan is a time of spiritual renewal, devotion, and strengthening one’s faith.
