Mahe Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, is a sacred period of fasting, prayer, and spiritual growth for Muslims worldwide. It is believed to be the month when the Quran was revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). During this time, Muslims fast from dawn to dusk, refraining from food, drink, and other physical needs, focusing instead on self-discipline, charity, and devotion to Allah.

Fasting in Ramadan, known as sawm, is one of the Five Pillars of Islam. Muslims engage in extra prayers, including Taraweeh, and increase their recitation of the Quran. The last ten nights, especially Laylat al-Qadr, hold immense spiritual significance.

Ramadan concludes with Eid-ul-Fitr, a joyous celebration marking the end of fasting, where families and communities come together in gratitude and festivity.
